The Ketchikan girls soccer team kicked off their home season on Friday and Saturday against the Juneau Douglas Bears but weren’t able to obtain a win. Friday night’s 1-0 game was an own goal loss and great learning experience for the Lady Kings and new head coach Neil Kinunen. On Saturday, the girls played a much faster and competitive match, but still lost 2-1. Kayhi Junior Charley Edwardson put the final touch on the ball to secure their first goal of the season. The Lady Kings will face off against the Crimson Bears later in the season at Juneau.

In JV action, the girls tied 0-0 on Friday and lost 4-1 Saturday.
