The Kayhi baseball team traveled to Sitka over the weekend to play the Wolves at Moller Park on Friday and Saturday. The Kings played three varsity games, which they won two of the three games. Kayhi won on Friday, but lost the first game on Saturday. Junior Nathan Bonck pitched most of the second game with some help from Spencer Erickson. The Kings second game started off rough with a couple mistakes, but they pulled through with the win (6-3). The Kings are now 4-3 in the Southeast conference.
The track and field team traveled to Juneau over the weekend to compete at the Capital City Invitational. Both boys and girls team took 2nd at the Capital City Invitational. The boys team lost to Thunder Mountain by half a point 130 points to 129.5 points. The Lady Falcons had 165 points and the Lady Kings had 60 points.
The Lady Kings softball team went undefeated Thursday through Saturday, playing Soldotna and North Pole at the Norman Walker Field. The King’s went 5-0 against Soldotna and North Pole. Kayhi beat SoHi 20-0 and North Pole 10-0 on Saturday to end the weekend.
