After taking two of three from Juneau last weekend, the Lady Kings beat Sitka 7-3 at home last night to qualify for the state tournament in Anchorage on June 4th.
Junior Lexi Biggerstaff said the team’s strong mindset and group effort led to the win.
“We didn’t have much of a game plan, but a mind set we are in,” she said. “We all worked really well together, no one did anything special. We all contributed to the win.”
Kayhi has split both games against every conference team this season and will play Sitka again tonight.
