The mats are being rolled out at home Oct. 30-31 for the Bill Weiss Wrestling tournament. Teams from Southeast are coming to compete in the tournament. Last year Kayhi scored a total of 231.5 point to win the Bill Weiss tournament.
“Last year we won, but I don’t want to be so confident this year,” said Coach Collins. “But I am expecting to win.”
The wrestling team isn’t the only team showcasing talent at the Bill Weiss. The Kayhi Dance team is performing as well.
The Bill Weiss tournament is in honor of Bill Weiss who was a reporter for the Ketchikan Daily News on Kayhi sports.
