Kings Soccer
The Kayhi boys soccer (3-3) team won two games on their trip to Anchorage last weekend. The Kings lost 1-0 to Wasilla on Thursday. Friday, they played Palmer and won 6-0, with two goals from Rudy Pankow and Peyton Stewart, and single goals from Mark Jasper, and Radek Radzilowski. The Kings won Saturday’s game against Palmer 2-1, with Sam Weston and Leif Svenson scoring goals.
The boys soccer team is now preparing for games against Juneau Douglas which will take place at home April 22-23.

Lady Kings Soccer
The Kayhi Lady Kings soccer team went 1-2 this weekend in Anchorage. They lost 3-1 on Thursday night against Wasilla, and Sarah Cool scored the lone goal for Kayhi off of a direct free kick. The Lady Kings won 5-1 against Palmer on Friday night, Jenny Hu (2), Sarah Cool, Olivia Kinunen, and Sydney Nichols all scored. They lost their last game 4-1 on Saturday against Colony. Sydney Nichols scored the goal for the Lady Kings. Kayhi has games at JDHS on the weekend of April 22.

Kayhi varsity baseball went 3-0 against Thunder Mountain over the weekend.  Nathan Bonck pitched 5 innings to earn the 8-5 win on Friday. Saturday’s double-header scores were both 4-3. In the second game of the double-header, Luke Jones scored the game winning run off a hit by Spencer Erickson at the bottom of the 7th.

 Kayhi softball went 1-2 last weekend in Sitka to open their season. Kayhi beat the defending state champion Wolves 7-6 on Saturday in the second game of a double-header.
Kayhi dropped the first two games 5-4 and 21-15. Only two of the three games counted on the conference record. The Lady Kings will next be in action April 22-23.
