Kayhi (12-3, 3-0) swept the Juneau Douglas Crimson Bears (8-5, 0-2) this weekend with a 61-56 win on Friday, and a 78-68 win on Saturday.
Even though the Kings were playing the 2016 defending state champions, freshman Chris Lee felt little pressure.
“I didn’t feel too pressured playing the former state champions,” said Lee. “Playing in front of our home crowd made it more comfortable to be able to go out and do our best.”
On Saturday, the Kings scored 58 points in last 15 minutes of the game, while the Bears had a 9 point lead at the half.
