Kings ready for TM after week off

After coming off of a weekend of sweeping the 2016 state champions, the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears(8-5, 0-4), the Kayhi Kings (12-3, 3-0) had a week off before facing the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves (11-2) on Thursday at 7:30 and Thunder Mountain Falcons (7-5, 2-1) on Friday and Saturday at 7:15.
Even after Thunder Mountain got some big wins over Juneau-Douglas, Senior Jake Smith feels confident.
“Thunder Mountain is coming off a sweep of Juneau-Douglas last weekend, so they will be riding that wave into this weekend,” said Smith. “I feel we are going to do very well against them, and still have fun playing”
The last time the Kings and Falcons faced off was at the Clarke Cochrane Christmas Classic, where the Kings won 74-63. Excluding post season, Kayhi has won 10 out of 11 games against Thunder Mountain over the course of 3 years. This season the Kings are undefeated (8-0) on Fridays and Saturdays. Kayhi has won 12 of their games by an average of 12.3 points. Over the past 3 seasons Kayhi has been undefeated (4-0) against Mt Edgecumbe and winning by an average of 12.25 points per game.
