Kayhi baseball played its first games of the season last week in the Coach Bob Invitational. Kayhi (1-2) started off strong with a 15-3 win against Neah-Kay-Nie (0-3) behind senior pitcher Jack Carson. The game ended after 4 innings due to the 10-run rule.
Friday, The Kings lost 4-2 in a close game against Seaside (1-4). A two out error at first base caused Seaside to take the lead at the top of the last inning.
In their final game of the invitational, Joy Christian (14-0) defeated Kayhi 11-2. Junior Michael Starr started the game and was relieved by senior Jackson Pool at the end of the first inning with a 7-0 deficit caused by walks and errors by the Kings.
