The Kayhi Kings baseball team (7-2) went 3-0 against the Petersburg Vikings this weekend. On Friday, the Kings beat the Vikings 11-0 and ended the game in the 5th inning. Kayhi defeated Petersburg twice on Saturday with scores of 16-0 and 13-3. All of the games ended early due to the 10-run rule.
Senior Jack Carson was on the mound pitching for Kayhi the entire game on Friday. Senior Jackson Pool pitched 4.5 innings in the first game on Saturday while junior Tug Olson closed. Senior Spencer Erickson opened the second game pitching, and was relieved by junior Gabe Bowlen, and finally sophomore Cody Kemble finished the game.
Carson believes that his team is on a roll, and is ready to see what the next games will be like.
“Playing last weekend was fun, we had good wins,” Carson said. “It feels good because I know my team is great, and I’m excited for what my team is going to bring next in the upcoming games.”
