Kayhi Track Performs well in Sitka

Ketchikan track and field participated in Sitka’s invitational meet last weekend taking 4th in women’s and 5th in men’s. Competing teams were Skagway, Juneau-Douglas, Sitka, and Thunder Mountain. Ashley Cyr took second in 800 meter 2:59.22 and third in 1600 meter 6:32.35. Adel Franc Mango took second in Shot Put throwing 28-03ft. Brendan Wong took 3rd in Shot Put throwing 34-11ft and third in discus throwing 98-01ft. Grant Dulay took third in long jump with 17-04.25ft and third in triple jump with 32-00.50ft. Senior captain Edric Tiamzon was pleased with how the team performed.
“The meet was good for those who haven’t had a meet before and good practice for those who don’t run on dirt track.”
