The Lady Kings will be taking on the Thunder Mountain Falcons this weekend in Juneau. The last time the Lady Kings lost to TM was 56-50 at the Region V Tournament in 2015. Since then, Kayhi has dominated, winning 12 straight games. Last seasons the Lady Kings won by an average of 25.3 points.
However, the Falcons showed steady improvement last season though they were twice defeated by Kayhi at Regionals.
Senior Captain Brittany Slick said the team is excited and ready to play Thunder Mountain for the first time this year.
“They are a scrappy team,” said Slick. “Their program is still developing, so I feel like it is easy for people to underestimate them very quickly, but they do play very hard so we have to be on our game and we can’t take them lightly.”
