The Kings split with Thunder Mountain last weekend. Friday night, Kayhi trailed the Falcons until the end of the 3rd quarter taking the lead 38-36 resulting in a 54-48 victory. Saturday night the Falcons took the lead from the start making it a 19 point game within in the first quarter 22-3. Kayhi went on a run in the second half making it a 5 point game 65-60. The Kings fell to the Falcons 77-67.
Junior Captain Marcus Lee was the leading scorer both nights of the conference matchups. Lee scored 19 Friday night and finished with a career high 38 points Saturday night.
“Saturday night was a career high for me in scoring but unfortunately we lost,” said Lee. “I really wasn’t aware of how much I scored until after the game when my teammates told me. Hitting my career high is very cool but then again winning is more important.”
