The Kayhi Kings beat Juneau-Douglas in the first game of the boys Region V tournament, with a score of 58-54.
This was another great chapter in these rival teams, with both teams putting all they had to secure this win. Kayhi led 16-15 after the first but trailed 26-22 at the half. Kayhi outscored the Bears 27-11 in the third quarter and never trailed.
The Bears pulled to within 3 with 5.3 seconds left, but Chris Lee iced the game from the free throw line.
The Kings will play Thunder Mountain (12-10, 5-3) tonight at 8:15 pm.
