“We really need to utilize our defensive skills,” said Boegler. “Since we’re home, we start on defense, so it’s really important that we don’t let up any easy runs. We really need to get the bats going early.”

The Kings will take on Thunder Mountain (0-1) to open up the the home schedule this weekend. Friday, Kayhi will play at 7 p.m. and Saturday a double header 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Kayhi defeated the Falcons earlier this year in a pre-season game 10-0. Senior Gabe Bowlen said the Kings need to keep a good mentality.
“Last year we got knocked out by Thunder Mountain in the region tournament. This year during pre-season we ten run ruled them,” said Bowlen. “If we go into this weekend with the same mentality that we went in when we played Sitka, we’ll definitely do the same thing.”
