Lady Kings fall to Wolves

Lady Kings softball (2-6) lost both conference games in Sitka over the weekend. Kayhi lost Friday 9-5, and Saturday 15- 2. Saturday Sitka scored five runs in the first inning, four in the second, and six more in the third in a mercy-rule shortened game.
Kayhi walked seven batters and gave up five hits. Ketchikan scored only two runs from RBI singles from freshman Jhaelah Schultz and fellow freshmen Dyllan Borer.
Schultz was disappointed in her team’s effort this weekend.
“Sitka is probably a more talented team, but I feel like we just gave up when times got hard,” Schultz said. “I think now were in midseason form physically but were still not all there mentally.”
The Lady Kings will play their final conference games in Juneau this weekend. Kayhi will play both JD and TM twice to finish off the regular season.
