Both girls and boys cross country teams took 3rd place over the weekend in Sitka. The boys scored a total of 101 points and the girls 79. Brent Capps, top finisher for the Kings placed 16th overall with a time of 18:22.34. Morgan Eldering had the top time for Kayhi, finishing in 21:16.80 placing 7th overall.
Sophomore Morgan Eldering said about the first meet of the season “I think it was a great start for our year, we have some great new additions with freshman boys and girls that are going to go super far with us this season. I felt really good about that race and cannot wait for the next one.”
On the boys side Sitka won its home meet with 33 points. Juneau-Douglas won the meet for the girls with 25 points. Nine boys teams, and six girls teams participated in the meet.

3rd- Ketchikan – 79
