Wrestling 

The Kayhi wrestling team took first in the Bill Weiss tournament over the weekend. Eight of the eleven Kayhi finalists placed first. Senior Patrick Rauwolf finished first in his weight class, as well as being named the most outstanding wrestler in the tournament. Rauwolf was very impressed by how the whole team performed
“Andy and Charlie have improved since the beginning of the season,” said Rauwolf. “Brayden also destroyed a kid that took third at state last year. The whole team just played really well throughout the tournament.”
The Kings have had a hot start to the season, winning their first three tournaments. The Kings will compete in the Metlakatla Invitational this weekend.

Volleyball 

The Kayhi Lady Kings volleyball team played in Metlakatla over the weekend. Metlakatla hosted a tournament to raise money for cancer survivors and other breast cancer awareness activities. The Lady Kings played on Hybrid teams, and the games were not official. 3 varsity players, 3 Jv, and 2 C team players competed in the fundraiser.
The Lady Kings will play in the regional tournament in Juneau this weekend.
