Eight Kayhi (9-7) seniors will have their last chance to beat JD (8-6) at home this weekend.
Kyle Smith has been playing basketball for the Kings for the past four years and he’s excited.
“It’s kinda crazy,” Smith said. ”I never thought about my last home game against JD, we’re definitely gonna play smarter than we did in our first game against them.”
Earlier this season at Juneau Douglas:
Kayhi 67 JD 75
Kayhi 65 JD 32
Keys to the game:
Focus. Kayhi dropped the first of two games on the road against a team that returned no starters. In the second game Kayhi overwhelmed the defending region champs, beating them by 33 points.
“We can’t underestimate them,” senior Cody Kemble said. “Last time we came out slow. We thought it would be an easy win, we were wrong and changed that in the next game where we came out on fire and put up lots of points early in the game.”
