The Lady Kings softball team will play Foothill High School at 9 a.m. in the first round on Monday at the Spring Jamboree JV/Small School Varsity Tournament in Las Vegas. The first day of the tournament is a double header for the Lady Kings, who will play Pahrump (NV) High School at 11 a.m. Kayhi is in Pool A for the tournament.
On Tuesday Kayhi will play another double header and take on Silverado High School at 9 a.m. and Centennial High School at 11 a.m.
Wednesday will feature Pool A vs Pool B action, and Kayhi’s game schedule will depend on their seeding after four games.
“Getting in a couple games to see where we are as a team and get the chemistry going before our first conference games against Thunder Mountain, will be good for us,” Sophomore Dyllan Borer said.
Last season the Lady Kings went 0-4 in the tournament. Kayhi lost two seniors from last year’s team, and many of players have more experience now.
“I think that we are a stronger team at this point in the season compared to last year,” Borer said. “We’re hoping to come out with a couple wins and get into game mode.”
