Boys Varsity
The Kings varsity basketball team placed fourth place at the South O’brady Invitational tournament in Anchorage.

The Kings played a non-tournament game against East Anchorage on Wednesday and fell 90-69 and then began the tournament on Thursday.

The Kings beat Anchorage Christian 63-54 to head into the tournament semi-finals. The Kings lost 58-54 to South Anchorage and went up and fell to Colony 99-64 in the last game of the tournament.

Senior Captain Kristian Pihl said that this weekend of games was a good reality check for the team.

“I thought we looked like a completely different team, with how young we are it was hard for the younger kids to come into the game focused when we were not at home, we’re not always going to have our crowd everywhere we go.”

Boys JV/C
The Kings JV team cruised past JDHS, TMHS, MEHS, and SHS to claim 1st place in the tournament. The Kings JV went undefeated this weekend.

The Kings C team placed 5th place in the JV tournament.
